1. Estimate cost of installation and/or modification of equipment on machining lines as assigned by supervising engineer. This equipment will also include bridge cranes.
2. Provide design to facilitate the installation and/or modification of equipment on machining lines or assembly areas as assigned by supervising engineer. This equipment will also include bridge cranes.
3. Order components and/or equipment to facilitate implementation of above design.
4. Put together all information and documentation required to complete the assigned projects
5. Issue and administer contracts or releases, or work with in-house central shop staff to accomplish assigned work.
6. Provide project management using MS Project and other project management tools to maintain schedules and promote communication with stake holders in the project.
7. Assure that proper equipment numbers are assigned and affixed to the installed equipment; that PM programs are properly set up; and that spare parts and training for new equipment is in place before project is closed.
8. Assure that lock out/tag out procedures are available and posted on the equipment before project is closed.
9. Lead team providing engineering support on various block, head, crankshaft, and rod lines.

4 year accredited Manufacturing Engineering degree. Successful candidate must have thorough knowledge of mfg. facilities, processes, and equipment. Must demonstrate excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, analytical, and project planning skills. Must have ability to work effectively with all levels of internal and external customers and suppliers. Must be able to aggressively pursue the knowledge required to implement change. Have the ability to establish priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects concurrently. Must stay abreast priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects concurrently. Must stay abreast of technology advancements through additional courses of formal education. College degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology. A resume must be provided showing academic performance. Good written and verbal communication skills. PC literate; Power Point, Excel,Word, MS98 Project, & AutoCad. Must be able to travel 10-20% of time. This person must have machine shop/tooling experience Personal productivity software experience which includes Invertor would be a plus. 2+ years experience
