The incumbent will be required to design wiring harnesses for machine and engine applications using Pro/E. Responsibilities may include helping to create wiring diagrams, participating in electrical system FMEAs, writing and performing electrical system functional tests, and supporting machine build efforts. Regular communications with other harness designers, electrical system designers, harness manufacturers, component engineers, and Global Purchasing will be required. Other responsibilities will include providing assistance during wiring harness installation audits. Some local and/or international travel will be required.
- The incumbent must have a technical degree or equivalent demonstrated experience in the design and development of wiring harnesses. A demonstrated ability to work in a team environment; communicating technical information across Electronics departments and customer business units while driving development efforts forward, and with a minimum of supervision is necessary. Familiarity with electrical components and their function in electrical systems is also desired. An individual with previous experience in earth-moving electrical harness design/development is desired. The incumbent will be efficient in designing wiring harnesses using Pro/E; familiar with basic engineering standards, electrical systems design guide, design FMEA processes, and general design control checking/releasing processes.
