TRIBAL 8(a) PRIMARY TEAMING PARTNER

Asen Computer Associates, Inc. is honored to be granted the opportunity to be the primary IT partner by a Tribal 8(a) CEO to help offset numerous severe reservation economic development challenges.

Tribal 8(a) alliance is a Tribal owned 8(a), SDB, and HUBZone certified company and has teamed with Asen to provide IT services nationally for the following NAICS codes: 518111, 518112, 541511, 541512, 541513, 541519, and 561320.

Asen will be performing service in the areas of: 
-Application Development
-Project Management, Business/Systems Analysis
-Systems/Network Administration and Support
-Database Design/Development/Administration
-Application/System Security

CONTRACTOR TEAM ARRANGEMENTS (Refer to FAR 9.6 for details)
Federal Supply Schedule contractors may use “Contractor Team Arrangements” (FAR 9.6) to provide solutions when responding to a customer agency requirements.
“Contractor team arrangement” as used in the subpart 9.6, mean as arrangement in which - 1. Two or more companies form a partnership or joint venture to act as a potential prime contractor; or 2. A potential prime contractor agrees with one or more other companies to have them act as its subcontractor under a specified Government contract or acquisition program.
Contractor team arrangements may be desirable from both a Government and industry standpoint in order to enable the companies involved to - 1. Complement each other’s unique capabilities; and 2, Offer the Government the best combination of performance, cost, and delivery for the system or product being acquired.  

Tribal 8(a) Benefits
-Federal contracts may be secured by Tribal Firms without competition (OMB Circular A-76)
-Sole source/single source awards to Tribal firms have no limit on contract values (FAR 19.805- 1 and 13 CFR 124.506).
-Direct awarded contracts to Tribal firms cannot be protested (13 CFR 124.517).
-A 5% bonus (based on the subcontract value) can be awarded to prime contractors for using Tribal firms (DFARs 226.1 or FAR 26.102).
-The size of an Indian-owned enterprise for small business eligibility purposes is determined without consideration of the economic size of its parent (13 CFR 124.109).
